It's amazing how different something looks after a few hours of work.
I got a few ideas from watching some tutorials. Even though there was no audio, they were still pretty helpful. Of course if there WAS audio, I would have found the answers to a couple very important questions. Ah well, another day.

So what was supposed to be a major undertaking months ago has finally become more than just a little drawing. I did in fact "finish" the concept art I posted last time. That is to say, I'm pretty much done with it for the time being. I have moved on to the 3d phase of the project. I haven't modelled a "human" since I did MrBot early last year so I was wondering how rusty I had become. Well, I'd say I don't have much to worry about. What I AM concerned with though, is learning the more popular programs like 3DS MAX. I played around with it for a little while, but I'm sticking with Lightwave for this guy.
To put things into perspective, I spent a ridiculous amount of time on Idate's head and I probably created FOUR versions of MrBot's face until I was satisfied enough to go on. Both took over a week. I spent a few (a couple?) on this one and I'm definately going to continue with it:
Wow, I even remember some basic HTML too! Hey I know this isn't anything amazing yet but if you're the guy that hired the company/child that made the CG for all those terrible local commercials in CT, GIVE ME A JOB!
It's always good to be humble in the job market.
