	. : June 2009 : . : level 3: battleship armada Thursday, June 25 2009 I don't think I have ever drawn Tomoe the same way twice. I experimented with fur because, you know, it's cold on Mars. Another difference here is that this is probably the first time I've illustrated her NOT smiling. Even happy people get angry you know. I think this will be the first in a line of level depictions. This one is more vivid in my mind than any other as the idea of Tomoe taking to the sky and tearing up a fleet of battleships is awesome. I'd like to show the Rudra van and maybe Buster 3's matter manipulation ability next. . .. . : Even the 2D steves PISS ME OFF Thursday, June 18 2009 As with all first iterations of Rudra characters, the first color drawing of Professor S. does not please me. He basically has to look like a D-bag, so it's really hard to make a face for a guy like this. I think next time I will go back to my original sketch and make him more sinister looking. He's a calculating creature of habit with little to no regard for human life. Of course, no one knows of his true nature until...the incident. Yeah so here he is: I rushed this out towards the end and almost didn't even post it on the main page. Despite this, it was a good exercise (as all drawings are) and I have a better idea of what Steve will really look like in the end. Honestly, this thing depressed me so much, I went back to PAPER and drew this sketch of Cilvia driving the agency van: I didn't concern myself with proportions too much so cleaning up and coloring this would just ruin it. . .. . : Buster 4, now with 50% more shirtless MrBot Monday, June 15 2009 Byon, or Buster 4 needed some major changes. What better place to look than the greatest robot of all time? Of course unlike Mrbot, Byon is a heartless corporate shill. I think I'm going to start linking to the actual gallery so I don't have to type character descriptions twice. I COULD just copy and paste but...uhh...hmm... So I think I'm gradually getting better with metal. I had some magenta-like glowing effects and a simple dark background with this drawing, but I really just liked it this way. For the record, this character is a BAD GUY. That makes 2 female villians that are deceptively evil. The next one will ALSO appear to be a nice guy but I swear, from here on out, it's super blatant evil I swear. . .. . : I often think about these update subjects while drawing Wednesday, June 10 2009 Of course, I completely forgot what I was originally going to use. Let's see: -I like Knights -and the hunt continues... -2 drawings in one week! Feel free to pretend I used one of those if you do not like the one I went with. So hey, I drew Siefer. Continuing with the HUNT for a distinct style, this is essentially the same technique I used for the Sakura drawing, only with some heavier outlining. I realized that I really do like me a black outline. I will try to get back to a crispy outline with the next drawing (Byon). Siefer: I URGE you to look at the 2 other drawings of this man in my gallery. He has changed (for the better) quite a bit. Initially everyone in Rudra had frickin diamond shield things EVERYWHERE. I tried to modernize his knightly armor a bit. In the end, knights are still medieval, and cool. . .. . : Maybe I should just DRAW fighting games... Sunday, June 7 2009 because clearly I will never be able to peform sweet and awesome combos in a real match. Oh well, here's Sakura: I wanted to try a different style and I think it turned out pretty well. Usually I draw the initial pose of the character(s), then draw the character over the sketch and clean it up. Then comes creating all those layers for different colors, throwing down flats, shading, etc. This time 95% of the drawing is on ONE layer. It was way more enjoyable to draw and probably took less time than usual. I think I'll stick with this style for the next drawing which will FINALLY be Seifer. I haven't drawn him (colored) in like 7 months. . .. . : More fighting game fanart! Wednesday, June 3 2009 This time it's for the King of Fighters XII. This year is the year of the fighter so it only makes sense that I keep churning out these fanart pieces. I used K' and occasionally Kula on the rare occasion that I actually play KOF XI. They are on the same team so I figured they would go well together. Kula is "borrowing" K's motorcycle to break into the tournament. Yeah...he definately has a motorcycle... I couldn't wait to finish this thing up so I could finally try something different (which just so happens to be more fighting game fanart). . .. .
