. : April 2005 : .: Back to the Future Sunday, April 24 2005 Not to spoil the entire series or anything, but in this week's strip, MrBot travels back in time with the Delorian to stop the Almeida's from ever giving birth to Fad so he can become a billionaire in the future utilizing a sports atlas, from the future! Actually, this just means after this week, it's back to the...PRESENT! Those annoying gaps of "useful knowledge" won't be back for some time, so treasure this last one. Oh yeah, vote too. I don't think anyone does anymore so I'm placing the blame squarely on YOU, the reader. I could post your ip address if I wanted to, and I do. (192.168.1.1) HA! how do you like THAT!? VOTE! : It begins Sunday, April 17 2005 Yes it is another flashback, but everyone knows the past is better than the present. Why do you think 95% of all conversations contain material that originated BEFORE the conversation took place? I rest my case. Oh yeah, also I decided to cram ONE MORE FLASHBACK in next week too. I originally planned on having a nice one...but I've come to realize the story progression makes more sense this way. So basically...stay tuned for something good. Also please vote every day (both sites) if you can. : NOTHING CAN STOP MY RELIABLE UPDATES Sunday, April 10 2005 I'd say at this point in my life, April 2005, life sucks. As you may know, I'm going for an Electronic Imaging degree which entails the images of electronic proportions. Pulling off a 40 second 3d animation has proved to be more work than anything I have ever attempted in my entire life. Usually things take me a while because I put them off, but then I work my ass off when I find time for them. Well it's not about FINDING time anymore, it's about using every waking hour that I'm not in class or at work to do this thing. OH yeah, I also have 4 other classes. BUT LET'S NOT FORGET ABOUT MRBOT! Yes I strongly considered not doing a strip this week. Then I noticed people are slowly coming to the site more often. Hmm, not exactly the best course of action. Instead, I opted to try a faster approach for this week's strip. Well, it took me just about as long as it normally does, but I did get a lot of the preliminary work done during breaks in 3 hour classes. I think it's mandatory for a web comic artist to complain a few times during the first year. I just wanted to let you all know that regardless of how little free time I have, I will always try to set 6-8 hours aside a week to continue this story. Speaking of which, I hope my flashbacks haven't annoyed you. I honestly think they fit best within this time frame. If it seems like Blue has been the focus of attention for the last couple months, it's because the guy is just so important to the story. Hmm, you should probably read the comic now. : Does Blue love Atari? Saturday, April 2 2005 No, in fact his internal processor is powerful enough to run every Atari 2600 game ever made, but he is not able to comprehend any of the control schemes. In case you were wondering why he wears an Atari shirt in these flashbacks, there is actually a reason for it. Back when I originally designed MrBot about 4 or so years ago, he wore an Atari shirt. Then, the company Infogrames BECAME the new Atari and released crappy Dragon Ball Z games and "Enter the Matrix" so the shirt made him look like a tool. It became my opinion that a robot with no knowledge of popular culture probably wouldn't have any preference in apparrell...outside of color. MrBot loves green. Why does he love green? You don't know that yet. Another question may be, "Who was that screaming last week?" To that I reply, you're a tard. This is the first Saturday off that I've had, excluding trips home, in an incredibly long time. Obviously I'm going to be frequenting crazy wild parties right? WRONG! I will use this day to finish the comic...whups that's done, and work on my 3d animation. Speaking of which... click here I'd slap the image right here for you, but I don't think it will fit. Hmmm, if only I had more room. Why, I would have to completely redesign the entire site some time this summer... |
