Alright I'm back. Anyways I drew this:

Well I guess Steve isn't glowing all that much. Here's Tomoe:
I managed a couple things with this piece. Firstly, I drew Tomoe's rudra gate (tattoo/scar) and LIKED it. I honestly recolored that thing like 3 times until I decided not to go overboard and make it a more subtle glow. Well that and sparkles. I also gave her an expression that didn't make her look like a silly little girl. She's optimistic but this may be the first time in a long time that she doesn't look childish. I once again changed the way I shade hair. I doubt I will ever settle on one method. All in all, I'm satisfied.

but no, full body suits are tough for some reason.
It's tough to capture Selty's personality in an agressive pose. She is a very mellow character but also very strong and capable. Needless to say, I drew a bunch of different poses. I actually completed one and scrapped it the next time I sat down to work on it. Somehow I pulled it together and arrived at this. Man Durarara is good.

I feel like I could have pushed this piece further. Steve's design has gotten simpler since I last drew him. I still look back on that old piece and shake my head. I think it's because he's just not an enjoyable character to draw. I really like how the expression turned out here though. You get the feeling that he has no respect for anybody.

Man I am so sick of randomly thinking up great summaries for my updates in the shower at midnight but then when I sit down to post the new piece right after finishing it...I got nothin! Well one thing I can say is while I like this drawing, I know it has issues.
On the plus side, it has LESS issues than most of my drawings with actual backgrounds. The computer monitors on the left are the light source, but like the rest of the background, they are too plain and seem out of place. The shadows on wall behind Byon are off, but they SEEM correct. There are a ton of glowing objects and the shadows should be darker in some places. Maybe it's good that I know what's wrong. I did try to fix these things and I even had an elaborate background with explosions and flying objects. I felt it was too busy and kept the focus on the characters.
I had an idea of what I was going to do next and then I immediately forgot WOOOO.
