Ok so the design/illustration section is a little screwy right now, but I hope to have it fixed very soon.

I've always wanted to get into figure collecting. The thing is, 98% of the product I find on figure sites are half-naked/naked 13 year old girls. Well call me closed-minded but I just don't need that sort of thing sitting on my desk. THIS however fits quite nicely.

I saw this figure about a year ago and was amazed. At the time I was in my 2 month long Persona 3 FEAST. 100+ hours is a rare occurrence for myself who plows through games every week, often not even bothering to finish the long ones. Anyways, Aegis is an awesome android that I had to own. Of course the damn figure sold out during the preorder period and I never got the chance to buy one :(. Last month I finally cried out to the gods and Noah (from work) answered. He managed to find it for the low low price of $too.many.dollars. It was worth it though. I just got my new cell phone today and wanted to test out the camera. Of course, I had to take a picture of THIS as well:

A couple months ago I decided to do yet another thing I had been putting off for too long. I wanted to force myself to use an arcade stick for 2D fighters, but the sticks I own are too loose for my tastes. Sure they always worked for Soul Calibur, but I don't really play that anymore.

Last year, during my vacation in Seattle, I played an arcade cabinet of SF3: Third Strike and found the setup to be completely natural for that type of game. This is because American cabinets use much tighter sticks with an octagon or circular base. This is exactly what I needed but there isn't a single non-shit american made stick available at retail. Long story short, I bought some parts, spent HOURS researching what I needed to do, and created the Sakura stick you see up above.

I scanned in some artwork from my Capcom art book because I have never seen this image anywhere on the internet. A couple hours in photoshop and I had my design. The stick is probably the tightest stick imaginable because I like it rough, and I wanted see-through buttons with great mashability. The only issue I have with the stick is that I couldn't drill the actual stick part into the base. I had to JB Weld that bitch and I REALLY hope it doesn't pop out in the middle of play. I'll just have to politely tell Bobert that he can't use it.

Wow this post is long!

: Some stuff working now...

The animation section now has FOUR videos! One of those is actually new to the website! It's 10 whopping minutes long so please feel free to rape my bandwith. I was hoping to have a lot more done yesterday, but I couldn't get the snazzy image gallery thing to work. This is what I get for trying to put everything into one little flash movie.

Weekends are too short.

Hey so here's con-trast 3.0. Ok so it's more like BETA 3.0 seeing as how I decided I was tired of waiting for my sorry ass to finish putting all the content back up in the new format. But hey, you can at least try out the new portfolio interface up there.

I really wanted to get the new design out of the gate so I can start updating this blog more often. I know my biggest fan just wants me to act like an idiot and post random nonsense so I'll try to do that from time to time. If for some reason you want to read the comic or look at my art while I continue the conversion (aka do nothing for 4 months), you can still access the old format right here.

The funny thing is, I'm using the same script for both pages so you will be in IRONY HEAVEN when you click that link.

Gimme your address.
